Ever look up at the night sky and feel in awe of the cosmos and constellations? You’re in good company. This course provides a basic introduction to astronomy that emphasizes an appreciation of Earth’s relationship to the universe. Delve into topics like the celestial sphere, celestial navigation, motions of the Sun, Moon, planets, and stars, telescopes, timekeeping, phases, and motions of the Moon, tides, and eclipses. These astronomical phenomena are inextricably connected to the cycles of living beings as well. After this class, it won’t just be awe you feel as you bask in starlight! REGISTER
