Join an experienced botanist for an introduction to the pleasures of winter plant observation and study in one of Montgomery County, MD’s most botanically-rich parks. Naturalist Henry David Thoreau wrote that a walk through winter’s woods, fields, and wetlands was like walking through a “cabinet of curiosities” – and he described the landscape as “nature’s self-made herbarium.”  Expect moderate walking with some uphill/downhill as our leader eagerly guides you through some of her favorite parts of Little Bennett’s natural herbarium. REGISTER
