Allie is the Garden Programs Manager in the Restoration Department. She is passionate about gardening with native plants and transforming landscapes to support habitat. Always an animal protector, Allie first visited Woodend as a child to release an American Box Turtle that her family saved from the roadside and named Shelly. As an adult, Allie introduced Woodend to her own children, began volunteering with the Restoration Department, and officially joined as a staff member in 2023. Allie lives in Chevy Chase with her husband, two children and golden retriever who shares Allie’s love for the garden and all the life it brings.
