Gina has worked as an environmental educator for Nature Forward since 2010. As Lead GreenKids Educator, she supports schools in the DC metro area in adopting a holistic environmental culture. Having grown up in the forested lands of Peru, Gina is passionate about ecosystem interactions, biodiversity, exploring the outdoors, and good coffee.

Gina has since worked on indigenous rights and sustainable environment programs with the Rainforest Foundation; was a volunteer for Tree Stewards in Arlington and Montgomery Counties; and is a citizen scientist for Nature Forward’s Water Quality Monitoring Program.

Gina feels honored to be Chair of the upcoming Naturally Latinos conference, which will be held March 26-28, 2026. She hopes to see you there!
