Katrina Weinig joined Nature Forward as a Grant Specialist in June 2023. Previously, she was Executive Director of Meadowbrook Foundation in Chevy Chase, MD (2016-2023), where she successfully oversaw a $2 million capital campaign. Prior to that she worked as a lawyer in private, nonprofit and government practice both in the US and overseas. She served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the US Department of Justice Office of Policy Development (1996-2000), as General Counsel for the National Crime Prevention Council (2000-2002), and then owned and operated two small businesses. Katrina is married with three adult children and three grandchildren. A long-time Washington DC resident, Katrina now works remotely from her Hudson Valley home.
