Lin Orrin, Grant Specialist, has worked at Nature Forward since 2017 and has over 30 years of grant writing, development, executive director and public relations experience. Previous nonprofit positions were in the health, accessibility, youth mentoring, homeless, social services and women’s center fields. Lin started as a journalist before moving to the nonprofit sector. She founded the Huron Valley Fundraisers Network in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is a past member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals in Maryland and qualified for the CFRE exam. She won a national competition for how to promote the Americans with Disabilities Act before it became federal law in 1990 and was active in Girl Scout leadership. Lin has a Certificate of Theological Studies from the Pacific School of Religion/Graduate Theological Union from 2004 and studied Business Administration at Eastern Michigan University.
