Lisa Goodnight joined Nature Forward’s Communications and Marketing team in 2022. A former newspaper reporter, Lisa enjoys good storytelling, the music of Stevie Wonder, and being part of a community of nature lovers who value diversity, inclusion, and connection.

She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Spanish—but if she could do it over, she’d switch and pursue Spanish as her major and minor in Journalism. Though not fluent, Lisa embraces every opportunity to keep learning—whether it’s Español, bird calls, or the many other sounds of the natural world.
