Marquelle Ogletree (she/her) is the new DC Conservation Advocate, bringing advocacy experience across local, state, and federal levels for social and environmental justice. Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, Marquelle began advocating for clean energy and climate resilience in high school. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, focusing on environmental justice. Marquelle recently served as a congressional intern and is an Emerson National Hunger Fellowship alumna, during which she advocated for nutrition security.

From diverse experiences in advocacy, community engagement, and facilitating intergroup dialogue, Marquelle takes an intersectional approach by considering the ways environment affects quality of life including food access, water quality, and health. Across the District, she is driven to empower community members while continuing critical work for clean water, disaster preparedness, and more. In her free time, Marquelle enjoys hiking, collaging, exploring museums, and puzzling.
