Event Details
Event Details
Bill Gates has said that artificial intelligence (“AI”) is the most important and revolutionary innovation in decades. But that innovation is very power- and data-intensive. AI is one of the key drivers in the spread of data centers across the region and the country, and it’s happening right now without sufficient consideration of environmental sustainability.
Come learn about how data centers affect all of us and what you can to do speak up. Their development is threatening our climate goals and risking the health and livability of our communities. Data centers consume massive amounts of energy and water for their operations and cooling, which increases greenhouse gas emissions, stresses aquifers, pollutes our waterways, and triggers excessive stormwater runoff from so much impervious surface.
Join us online on Wednesday March 27 @ 7pm learn about how to take action in the DMV region!
