As DC Conservation Advocate at Nature Forward, Jamoni leads policy, outreach and coalition building across the District with a primary focus on Wards 7 and 8 to advance clean water, clean energy, equitable access to nature and other intersectional justice issues. Jamoni aligns with Nature Forward’s mission to inspire residents to appreciate and protect their natural environment, particularly through the commitment to Protect and Lead. Her path to this work grew from a passion for service and advocacy for equity in disfavored communities, nurtured through Alternative Breaks at the University of Maryland. Those experiences inspired Jamoni to study Government and Politics, African American Studies, and Sustainability. Outside of work, Jamoni is a forever learner and connector who loves spending time with loved ones and her dog, Maxx.
