A stroll through the early spring woods can be magical, where colors and forms of trees’ and shrubs’ unfolding leaves and blooms catch the eye. In bottomland woods, there’s the added delight of spring wildflowers underfoot. Our leader can’t wait to share one of her favorite spots along the Potomac River: Violette’s Lock.
